Becoming Catholic - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Are you a Catholic who has not received much formation or instruction, and want to participate more fully as a Catholic?
Were you baptized as a child and now wish to be prepared for Communion and Confirmation?
Are you an adult who has been “away” from the Church for a while, and wish to renew your participation, or to simply “come home”?
Are you someone who was baptized in a community other than Catholic, and want to explore the Catholic faith?
Are you a person who has never been baptized and who wishes to explore the Catholic faith?
At Most Holy Redeemer, each
Saturday, we have a session of adult Faith Formation designed for you. It is officially termed the RCIA – the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. It takes place
1:00-2:30 pm in the rectory, at 173 East 3rd St. (between Avenues. A and B). But it is truly appropriate for any adult who could answer yes to any one or more of the above questions. All are welcome. There is no pressure, and no courteous question is considered "out of bounds."
